 Liao Weizheng, born on December 23, 1946, is a national first-class calligrapher, vice chairman of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association, member of the China Calligraphy, Painting and Photography Artists Association, professor at the Training Center of the China Calligraphy, Painting and Photography Artists Association, calligrapher of the China Calligraphers Association, national first-class calligrapher of the China National Calligraphy Academy. Member of the China Jian Guang Calligraphy and Painting Academy. Honorary academician of the Beijing Qinglu Xuan International Art Center for Calligraphy and Painting. Since childhood, he has been deeply interested in calligraphy art. After long-term study and continuous practice, he has developed a unique artistic style characterized by strength, agility, vigor, and elegance. His works have won gold and first prizes in more than forty national and global Chinese calligraphy competitions. His works have been exhibited, collected, and included in anthologies, and have been made into stamps in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and abroad. He has been awarded more than twenty honorary titles, including Master of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, Ten Most Promising Calligraphers and Painters of 2016, Outstanding Chinese Calligrapher and Painter, Top 100 Chinese Calligraphers, World Peace Artist, Hundred Outstanding Patriotic Calligraphers and Painters, and Distinguished Patriotic Art Masters of China.
