Personal Profile

Liu Xu, style name Yimo, native of the hometown of Chinese calligraphy, Henan Yongcheng City, born in 1974. Graduated from Zhengzhou University. For more than thirty years since childhood, he has studied various styles of calligraphy, including regular script, cursive script, seal script, and clerical script. His main focus is on Yan's regular script and clerical script, especially large-scale stele calligraphy, which has won awards and been exhibited in many national calligraphy competitions! In 2016, he became a disciple of Dong Zhangqing, a student of Qi Baishi. He is most skilled in ink shrimp. He is currently a member of the China Arts and Crafts Association, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and a member of the Henan Calligraphers Association! A member of the China Cultural Promotion Association, Beijing Hualie Art Academy vice president, and a member of the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Art Committee.
