Su Shouqiang, style name Yu Cun, is from Daxing District, Beijing, born in 1953, a member of the Communist Party of China, with a junior college education.Currently serves as an art committee member of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy Arts, member of the Chinese Calligraphers' Association, academician of the National Art Institute of the China Promotion Association, and calligraphy teacher in Daxing schools and communities.Born into an educational family, influenced by his ancestors, he has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, especially the styles of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, as well as Ouyang's regular script. He has diligently practiced copying characters, learning under Tian Yunchang, and has consistently focused on Ouyang's regular script.Later, he further studied at the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy Arts, receiving careful guidance from various masters, and now has mastered the essence of four calligraphic styles: regular, running, cursive, and seal script, with his skills continuously improving.Looking at his calligraphy, it is like Qin bricks and Han tiles, upright and substantial; when viewed as a whole, it is like the vast Milky Way, sparkling with brilliant stars. He has participated in many national-level calligraphy competitions and has achieved excellent results. Stamps themed around his calligraphy have been issued in countries such as the United States and France. His inscribed plaques are widely admired, and his calligraphy works have entered thousands of households, loved by collectors and appreciated by international friends.
