Li Deqiong, a senior journalist of China Central Television, has experienced the reporting of major events such as the Party Congress and the Two Sessions for decades. She has won a series of China News Awards, national news awards, the "Advanced Individual in Civilization" award from the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and CCTV, the "Outstanding Award" for hosts awarded by the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television, and has been awarded a certificate of honor by the State Council.Li Deqiong is currently the Secretary-General of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Association of China Central Television, a member of the Editorial Committee of "Chinese Modern Calligraphy and Painting Masters' Seal Collection", and a vice president of the National Gift Art Institute of the China International Economic and Technological Cooperation Promotion Association.She began her artistic creation in calligraphy and painting in 1975. Her calligraphy works have been selected for national calligraphy and painting exhibitions, published, and won awards. In 2014, she received the "Chinese Painting School Innovation Award" and the "Chinese Calligraphy Inheritance Award" in the cultural trade section of the Third Beijing International Exchange Conference. Li Deqiong believes that art is a window to express the heart directly, not a rigid and mechanical dogma that only focuses on techniques. Calligraphy and painting are the true expression and release of a person's spirituality, broad-mindedness, knowledge, aesthetics, talent, and personality.
