Chi Dongling
Personal Profile
Chi Dongling, a native of Taikang County, Henan Province. His pen name is Tianma, and his pseudonym is Shenzhou Shanren. He is a member of the Chinese Poetry Association, a member of the Chinese Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, and a special guest of Zhongyuan Culture Network. He is also a special artist of Sydney Art and Calligraphy Network in Australia. His calligraphy works have been exhibited in the "Jinjiufu" Cup National Calligraphy Competition in 2008; and in the 4th National "Xingling School" Calligraphy Exhibition in 2012. His hard pen calligraphy won the gold prize in the 6th National Yanhuang Cup Competition in 2016; and received an excellent award in the First National Impression Cup Calligraphy Competition in 2017. In the history of hard pen calligraphy, he was the first to summarize the writing methods of Chinese characters' strokes and radicals into poetry form (see "Chi Dongling Hard Pen Character Book"). In terms of poetic style, he innovated the new genre of "Hundred Texts Poetry" (see "Complete Collection of Chi Dongling's Poetry and Prose"). In the style of palindrome poetry, he innovated two new genres, "Poem and Verse Ring Set" and "Top-needle Palindrome Style" (see "Collection of Chi Dongling's Palindrome Poetry"); in the style of couplets, after the ancient couplet master Lin Daxiu, he was the first to write a couplet with a single character, which can be read in 32 different ways, setting a new Chinese record (see "Collection of Chi Dongling's Couplets"). In 2010, Henan San Nong Magazine conducted a personal interview with him and named him "Henan San Nong Person". His calligraphy skills allow him to work with both hands, writing simultaneously with the right hand normally and the left hand inversely. His calligraphy works are deeply loved by calligraphy enthusiasts, and he is good at using names embedded in the first line of couplets and husband-wife couplets to meet the needs of people of different levels, and is deeply loved by everyone. As early as 2009, he once wrote a couplet with a person's name for Lu Zhan Gong, then the Party Secretary of Henan Province (Looking forward to the future, the prospects are bright; working rigorously, clean and honest), which was handed over to the person by the Provincial Party Committee Office for collection. Recently, he has taken a unique path, created a unique masterpiece in one stroke, containing three wonderful poems (one of them is a palindrome poem). Although this work does not dare to claim to be unparalleled in ancient times, it is at least the first of its kind in the five thousand years of Chinese literature and history, without any similar examples. A Beijing-based wealthy collector is willing to pay one million yuan to own it (promising that no other identical masterpiece will appear again). After careful consideration, the author finally did not agree to the transaction.

Canghai Sangtian Long Appears,
Crossing the sky, mighty Kunlun appears.
The horse moves weakly due to thinness,
A man is not stylish just because of poverty.
The brush falls on white paper, startling wind and rain,
The poem enters the scroll, weeping ghosts and gods.
He looks down upon all ages, there is no second ruler,
Only one person walks through the millennia alone.
