  Mohan, whose real name is He Aimin, has the studio name "Shulin Yishi". He is a member of the Communist Party of China, resides in Beijing, holds a postgraduate degree, and is a senior art painter. He is a lifetime member and director of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Association. He was originally a military artist in the Political Department of the Jinan Military Region of the People's Liberation Army, as well as a poet and literary critic. After being transferred from the military, he further studied in the Advanced Calligraphy Research Program at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He began learning calligraphy at the age of six, diligently studying the works of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi from the Wei and Jin dynasties, practicing without interruption, drawing from the ancient to create something new, and exploring the style of Ouyang, especially excelling in regular script, running script, seal script, and cursive script. He is also proficient in the four major styles of Ouyang, Yan, Liu, and Zhao. At the age of fifteen, he started learning Chinese painting, focusing on flowers, birds, and animals, especially skilled in painting horses and donkeys. He has been engaged in the study of calligraphy and painting for over thirty years. He has successively learned from the academic giant and master of calligraphy and painting, Mr. Aixinjueluo Qigong, and Mr. Guan Shaohong, the disciple of Xu Beihong and the contemporary "horse god" who has won national gold awards. He has also received direct guidance from the renowned art master Mr. Liu Sanduo and Mr. Yang Zaichun, one of the founders of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. In August 2008, he established the Beijing Mohan Calligraphy and Painting Studio. Two years later, he founded an art academy. He currently serves as the Director of the Beijing Mohan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Art Consultant of the Chinese Nation Cultural Arts Academy, Shengshi Zhonghua Famous Artists and Calligraphers Academy, and the Art Consultant of the Guan Shaohong Art Museum of Xu Beihong's descendants.  In 1997, he won the first prize in the "Hong Kong Return" couplet calligraphy competition held by the Jinan Military Region of the People's Liberation Army; in 2000, he won the second prize in the "Macau Return" one-year celebration calligraphy and painting competition held by the People's Liberation Army; in 2003, his calligraphy work was rated first in the "Greeting the New Year" officers and soldiers' couplets creation exhibition organized by the Jinan Military Region; his calligraphy and painting work "Viewing the Vast Sea" won the second prize in the "Commemorating the 110th Anniversary of Mao Zedong's Birth" calligraphy and painting competition held by the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army; he won the second prize in the "Praise of the Motherland Cup" calligraphy competition nationwide, the third prize in the National Poetry and Calligraphy Competition, and the excellent award in the "Lanting Xu" Cup Calligraphy Competition nationwide. His calligraphy and painting works have been published in professional newspapers and magazines such as "PLA Painting", "China Calligraphy News", "Oriental Calligraphy and Painting", and "Youth Calligraphy". For ten years, he has been passionate about the Hope Project charity, donating calligraphy and painting works for underprivileged children in mountainous areas. He has been interviewed live by CCTV multiple times, and many newspapers and magazines have featured his calligraphy and painting works on their covers.
