Zhang Hui was born in Lixian, Gansu, and now resides in Beijing. He studied at the High-level Research Class for Landscape Painting at Kyoto Art Academy. He is currently a painter at Chen Hailin Studio of Beijing Kyoto Art Academy, Vice President of the Beijing Great Wall Painting and Calligraphy Association, and a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association. In 2016, his work "The Long March" was collected by the Shanghai Century Museum. In 2017, it was selected for the Xi Jinping Theme Exhibition and won the Excellent Award. His works are elegant in style, with smooth brushwork and free-spirited expression, combining boldness and strength. He has won more than twenty gold, silver, and bronze awards in national painting and calligraphy competitions. He has been awarded the titles of "International Gold Medal Artist", "Shusheng Artist", "New Century Gold Medal Artist", and "Lifetime Achievement Artist in Chinese Literature and Art". More than thirty of his works have been compiled and published nationwide. They have been published and introduced in major domestic professional newspapers such as the People's Daily, Calligraphy News, and Mass Daily. His works have been exhibited in Shandong, Shanghai, Jiangsu Art Museum, China Art Museum, Military Museum, and the Museum of Chinese Revolutionary History, as well as in Singapore, Japan, Belgium, France, Russia, and other countries, and have been collected by several foreign art museums.
