Mr. Li Dongsheng, also known as Boya, and pen name Wanzhongren. Born in 1958, from Beijing, his ancestral home is Shenzhou, Hebei. Currently: Executive Director of World News Agency, Deputy Director of World TV Station; Executive Secretary of the World Famous Calligraphy Artworks Club Auction House;
Mr. Li Dongsheng has been deeply interested in calligraphy and seal carving since childhood. He started learning calligraphy under the guidance of his grandfather at the age of three, and at the age of thirteen, he became a disciple of Master Zhao Puchu. Later, he also received guidance and assistance from veteran calligraphers such as Xiao Lao, Xue Qi, and Zhou Erfu. Over the decades, under the teachings of his mentors and his own persistent research, he has studied all the famous steles and calligraphy works, deepening his calligraphy art skills. His comprehensive style combines the strength of Yan Luyan, the sinew and bones of Liu Gongquan, the smoothness and elegance of the two Wangs, the unrestrained style of Huai Su and Zhang Xu, and the beauty of Pan Lingao, forming a unique writing style. Mr. Li's works have been exhibited both at home and abroad, receiving praise and good reviews from peers, and many of his works have been given as gifts to international friends. In particular, his micro calligraphy works are renowned overseas, considered a unique art.
In addition to his profound expertise in calligraphy, Mr. Li Dongsheng has also made deep studies in Buddhism, Confucianism, Yixue (the Book of Changes), photography, poetry, seal carving, Tai Chi, and appreciation of ancient antiques. He is well-versed in both literature and martial arts, knowledgeable in ancient and modern times, and is truly a remarkable person of his generation.
