 Personal Profile

Chen Yan, also known as Chen Yan, with the pseudonym Wu Mo, resides in Dayan Hall. Born in Shandong, now resides in Beijing. A lifelong pursuit of perfection, using her own hands to create a perfect life. Since childhood, she has been deeply interested in traditional Chinese art. She specializes in traditional meticulous brushwork figures, orchids, bamboo, and flowers and birds.
Currently, she is the Director of the China Oracle Bone Culture Industry Special Fund, Chairman of the China Cross-Strait Painting and Calligraphy Association, Vice Secretary-General of the China Ancient Characters Association, Art Consultant of the China Artists Association Newspaper, Academician of the China Painting Academy, and member of the Xicheng District Painting Association in Beijing.
Her superb artistic skills have earned her the "Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award" from the China Cross-Strait Painting and Calligraphy Association. In January 2010, she held an exhibition in Las Vegas, USA. In 2011, she donated a meticulous brushwork figure painting to the Ganquan Project Public Welfare Foundation, which was auctioned for 580,000 RMB. In November 6, 2010, she held an exhibition at the Military Museum and other places. In 2010, her works were exhibited together with masters such as Ge Xiaoguang in Lujiazui, Shanghai, and were auctioned, and she also held exhibitions abroad multiple times.
Her unique meticulous brushwork figures are characterized by delicate and smooth strokes, elegant and flawless, with a unique style. Orchids and bamboo are modeled after the styles of great masters such as Li Fangying, Shi Tao, Deng Banchao, and Dong Shouping, integrating their essence and adding her own painting language and connotation, bold and magnificent, with rhythm hidden in the brush and ink, which cannot be directly presented without the spirit of male vigor in bamboo. To paint bamboo, one must first have the image of bamboo in mind; it is firm yet soft, elegant and noble, embodying the demeanor of a gentleman. Orchids are simple, pure, and reserved, with elegant lines and graceful brushstrokes. Her works are collected by the People's Congress Building Office, the People's Congress Meeting Center, national leaders, and entrepreneurs, receiving high praise. After years of diligent study and learning from the essence of many masters, she has internalized and integrated her own painting emotions and creativity, creating more beautiful paintings and contributing to traditional Chinese art.
