Ma Zhifu, former name Ma Zhi Fu, native of Henan, now resides in Beijing, studio name Ting Quan, member of the China Artists Association, member of the Chinese Gongbi Painting Association, national gift artist, special supply artist for the State Council Foreign Affairs National Guest Gift, senior art master. Member of the Henan Artists Association, member of the Henan Flower and Bird Painting Association, vice president of the Sanxi Tang Art Academy in Beijing, president of the Qingfeng Calligraphy and Painting Academy, professional painter of the Yanshan Chinese Painting Academy in Beijing, painter of the Ethnic Minority Foreign Exchange Association, the Ethnic Cultural Arts Work Committee, tutor of the High-level Research Class of Chinese Painting at Qicheng Culture in Songzhuang, professional painter of the Zhongguancun Painting Academy, painter of the Zhengde Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Beijing, graduated from the China National Academy of Painting, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the School of Fine Arts of Renmin University of China, the Landscape Theme Class of the Capital Normal University, the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, the Modern Gongbi Painting Academy of the Ministry of Culture, the Elite Class of the Modern Gongbi Painting Academy of the Ministry of Culture. For decades, he has been devoted to studying ancient works, especially the Four Kings and Four Monks of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, going back to the four masters of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and continuing the tradition of Qi Baishih, Huang Binhong, Zhang Daqian, especially inheriting Master Li Ke Ran. He uses cinnabar as the base and then applies nine layers of color to the mountain peaks, making the mountains fully dyed with layers of forest, red hills everywhere. Moreover, he has innovated on the technique of "The Mountains and Rivers of the River" by Li Ke Ran. He integrates the landscape and clouds into one, and is known as "the first person of landscape and clouds". At the same time, his flower and bird paintings of peonies, plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo and chrysanthemums are called "Prince of Peonies" by industry professionals and international collectors. His mentors include Long Rui, the director of the China Academy of Painting, Wang Tiansheng, the director of the Modern Gongbi Painting Academy of the Ministry of Culture, Qi Enjin, the teacher of green and blue landscape painting, Wang Zhongguo of the Beijing Academy of Painting, Su Baijun, Hu Mingzhe, Liu Tiequan, Niu Kecheng, Xu Jun and other teachers.
