Personal Profile
Zhuang Meili, female, pen name Hui Xin Shan Gu, member of the Agricultural Workers' Party of China, national first-class fine artist. Member of the Fujian Provincial Artists Association. In 2008, she studied at the China Academy of Art, under the guidance of renowned painter Wu Jingchu. She is currently a member of the Chinese Education Television水墨丹青 Calligraphy and Painting Institute.
She specializes in painting flowers, birds, and butterflies. Her works have won multiple awards and been featured in over 30 media outlets including People's Art Network. Her artworks are collected by various institutions and individuals across the country, and China Post has approved the production of commemorative stamps featuring her works for nationwide release. In 2013, she was interviewed by CCTV, which produced a two-part documentary titled "The Artistic Life of Zhuang Meili" and broadcast it on CCTV.com, while Fuding TV’s "Vision" program also conducted an in-depth report. The famous female soprano singer Sa Rina from the General Political Department Song and Dance Troupe performed the theme song "Butterfly Affinity" for the documentary, which had a significant impact nationwide. In 2017 and 2018, her works were invited to participate in cultural exchanges in Edinburgh, UK, and the 45th anniversary of Sino-Portuguese diplomatic relations, winning the Excellence Award. In 2020, she was invited by China Education Television to join the "Ink Splashing the Chinese Heart New Year's Gala." Her works have also been collected by institutions in the UK and Spain. She was awarded the title of "Outstanding Figure of China's Reform and Opening-up for 30 Years" jointly by the People's Political Consultative Daily and other organizations. She received a warm audience with state leaders such as Vice Chairpersons Ablaiti and Abudurexiti of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and took photos together.
