Gao Jianguo

Personal Profile

Gao Jianguo: Born in Tianjin in July 1956. Influenced by his family from an early age, he studied under Professor Wang Xuezhong and later learned calligraphy from Professor Sun Boxiang. He graduated from the Academy of Arts and Crafts and remained on staff as a teacher. He is a member of the Tianjin Art Society and the Qi Baishi Research Association. His works are collected by the National Museum of China. In 1996, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Painting and Calligraphy.
