Yao Jun, male, Han ethnicity, styled Wen Cun, pseudonym Xiang Tu, was born in Gu Yuan, Hebei Province in 1969 and currently resides in Beijing. Member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, member of the Beijing Dongcheng Calligraphers and Painters Association, and senior consultant for Jiuyi Artworks. Since childhood, he has been deeply passionate about calligraphy, respecting tradition without being confined by old models, seeking inspiration beyond conventional paths without blindly following trends.
His calligraphy works are robust and vigorous, powerful and majestic, with vigorous brushwork, elegant structure, graceful and fluid movements, natural artistic conception, and vibrant vitality.
He studied under the renowned five-script master Sun Fanbin (his master) and Ma Ming (his teacher). His works have won third prize in the national calligraphy competition "Guocui Cup," and received second prize in the CCTV "Dancing China" commemorative event for July 7th. He also attended the advanced calligraphy training program at Renmin University of China.
