Personal Profile
Zheng Gui (Zheng Yugui) graduated from the Information Engineering University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He is a calligrapher and veteran curator. Formerly deputy editor-in-chief of National Art and executive deputy editor-in-chief of China Art News, he is currently an Executive Council Member and Director of Organization and联络 at the China International Association for Painting and Calligraphy Studies, Vice President of the Macao branch of the Chinese Painting Association, and Honorary Professor at Henan Industrial Vocational and Technical College.
His calligraphy works have been invited to participate in the 104th Autumn Salon Art Exhibition in Paris, France in 2011, and in the Patriotic and Love-Ao Master Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition hosted by the China Society for Friendship with Foreign Countries in 2015, winning multiple awards in domestic calligraphy exhibitions.
In 2012, as curator, he successfully organized the “Light and Ink Color – First Exhibition of Works by Film and Art Professionals” at the 21st Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival (supported by the All-China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television, jointly organized by the China Film Association, the China Artists Association, and the People’s Government of Shaoxing City).
In 2013, as curator, he again successfully organized the “Light and Ink Color – Second Invitational Exhibition of Works by Chinese Film and Art Professionals” (supported by the All-China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television, jointly organized by the China Film Association and the China Artists Association).
In 2016, as curator, he once again successfully organized the “Light and Ink Color, Great Beauty of Xinjiang – Fifth Exhibition of Works by Chinese Film and Art Professionals” (supported by the All-China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television, the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee, and the Eurasian Expo Bureau, jointly organized by the People’s Government of Urumqi City, the China Film Association, the China Artists Association, and the China Film Foundation).
