Lu Xuhong, female, born in 1954, began studying calligraphy in 1991. She once apprenticed under provincial calligraphers Guo Shanping and Zhang Yimin. Starting in 1992, she participated in competitions and won awards; her works have been collected by Japan.
In 2008, she studied painting and calligraphy for two and a half months at the first high-level research class of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Beijing, receiving guidance from masters such as Lu Zhongnan, Zhang Xuguang, Zhang Rongqing, Mei Mosheng, Huo Chunyang, Ding Xuefeng, and Wang Peidong.
In 2009, she studied painting and calligraphy at the Daxing Senior Cadres University in Beijing, and has continued learning for nearly seven years.
Since 2014, she has been working as a teacher of children's painting and calligraphy in Beijing.
She obtained the first batch of external calligraphy teacher qualification certificates issued by the Beijing Municipal Government after study, training, and examination.
In August 2018, she held a joint exhibition with two other artists in Daxing, Beijing.
Currently, she is:
Member of the Beijing Hushé Painting Society;
Outreach Director of the Beijing Huayun Painting and Calligraphy Society;
Secretary-General of the Belt and Road National Treasures Painting and Calligraphy Institute;
Currently: continues teaching painting and calligraphy, and continues studying painting and calligraphy creation.
