Liu Yonghua, also known as Liu Hua, styled Changqing, pseudonym Yiren, is currently a member of the China Calligraphers Association, council member of the China Association of Middle-aged and Young Artists, a national first-class fine artist, Beijing Hanmo Art Gallery director, and a renowned Chinese painter. He is also a celebrated art critic, appraiser, state gift artist, an artist included in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Influence Database, a distinguished young artist among overseas Chinese, and vice president of the Chinese Culture Research Institute. Currently residing in Beijing, he graduated from the high-level calligraphy study class at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, under the guidance of teachers Wang Yong and Shi Kai. In 2016, he further studied at the high-level class for bird-and-flower painting at the China National Academy of Painting, guided by Zhang Lichen and Huo Chunyang. His works draw inspiration from Song and Yuan brushwork, employing the "boneless" technique influenced by Yun Nantian’s style with his own innovations, gradually forming a distinctive artistic style. His artworks have been frequently selected for international art exhibitions. His paintings and calligraphy are collected by numerous museums and collectors in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, exhibited in various art galleries, presented as gifts to foreign envoys and friends, and collected by many exhibition halls and private collectors.
