Personal Profile
Lu Wei began painting under the artistic inspiration of oil painting master Zhang Wenxin during his youth. After graduating from the Sculpture Department of a secondary specialized school, he further graduated from the Advertising Photography Department of Beijing University of Technology and the Fine Arts Department of the Academy of Art & Design, Tsinghua University. He has long been engaged in art teaching work and once received the Beijing Youth Art Teacher Excellent Teaching Award.
Currently, he is a student of oil painting master Zhang Wenxin, a visiting professor at the Confucius Art Museum Training Center, a national first-class artist, member of the China Oil Painting Society, council member of the Beijing Oil Painting Society, member of the Beijing Artists Association, member of the Beijing Watercolor Painting Society, vice secretary-general of the Beijing Shangdi Oil Painting Society, and honorary academician of the China Future Studies Association Oil Painting Institute.
