DONG Yuewei
Dong Yuewei, male, born in 1980, is from Tang County, Baoding, Hebei Province, and currently resides in Beijing. He holds a college diploma and is a National First-Class Artist. He is a member of the Chinese Education Television Station's "Moshui Danqing" column and has been contracted as an artist by both the "Moshui Danqing" and "Mingjia Jiangtang" columns. He is an academician at the China Contemporary Masters Art Research Institute and a council member at Junbin Painting and Calligraphy Academy. He studied under the renowned painter Liu Wenshun. His specialties are freehand flower-and-bird painting with additional studies in landscape painting. He has participated in national art competitions and won multiple awards, including one gold medal, three silver medals, and one bronze medal. His works have been included in "Setting Sail for a New Era: Leading Figures in Contemporary Chinese Painting and Calligraphy," and featured in a commemorative postage album celebrating the 40th anniversary of China's Reform and Opening-up, which was published. He excels in painting orchids and bamboo, loves lotus flowers, and has a particular fondness for roosters.
