Chai Zhanjie (Zhan Jie Wen Mo) was born in the same year as the People's Republic of China. He has worked as a farmer, a coal miner, and a teacher; received the title of municipal model worker; served as the Party branch secretary of a village; was disabled in a traffic accident during an official trip; later moved to Beijing where he participated in film and television productions; and is passionate about literature and calligraphy. He is one of the authors of "The Origin of Place Names in Aohan Banner" and co-authored with his younger brother Chai Zhan Yi the 400,000-character book "Stories of the First Village in China," published in 2019. He previously served as an Executive Council Member of the All-China Federation of Calligraphers and Painters and won a bronze award and membership in an international calligraphy competition. Currently, he is a member of the Chinese Association of Couplets and the China Publicity and Culture Art Exchange Center.
