Liu Haiwu, pen name Yihai, Xilan Huasheng. Currently resides in Beijing, a disciple of Huang Binhong's lineage.
      Currently:
      Member of the Liaoning Artists Association,
      Deputy Director of the Huang Binhong Landscape Art Research Institute,
      Deputy Director of the Beidou Painting and Calligraphy Academy's Landscape Department.
      Has studied Huang Binhong’s landscape painting for thirty years, also practicing figure painting. His landscape mentors were Sun En Tong and Sun Ji Xiang. He began with Ming dynasty masters Shen Zhou and Tang Yin, then traced back through Huang Binhong to the Four Wangs and the Four Monks, up to Song dynasty masters Fan Kuan and Guo Xi. For figure painting, he started with Ren Bonian, then traced back to Chen Lao Lian. He has developed a distinctive style in both landscape and figure painting. His works have frequently participated in major domestic and international exhibitions and are collected by numerous professional institutions and auction houses.
