Personal Profile

Wang Jianzhong, a native of Beijing, has loved painting since childhood. In the early 1980s, he systematically studied Gongbi flower-and-bird painting and graduated from the China Academy of Art Correspondence University. He studied under the renowned painter Mr. Gong Wenzhen and received careful guidance from many distinguished artists, dedicating over thirty years to diligent practice in Gongbi flower-and-bird painting. Some of his works have been published in newspapers and magazines and collected by art enthusiasts both at home and abroad. Currently, he is: Beijing Artists Association member; Member of the Beijing Gongbi and Heavy Color Painting Association; Council member of the Beijing Hanhai Art Gallery; Member of the Beijing Haidian Artists Association; Member of the China Council for the Promotion of Trade Calligraphy and Painting Research Association and serves as an instructor in its calligraphy and painting classes.
