Personal Profile

Zhang Wenshan, also known as the Master of Ban Yue Studio, was born in 1950 and is originally from Beijing. He is currently a member of the China Artists Association. For 36 years, he has been engaged in professional fine arts work at Beijing Zhongshan Park, holding the title of Senior Artistic Technician and First-Class Painter. He retired in January 2010 and is now a painter at the National Ethnic Painting Academy, a member of the Beijing Artists Association, a council member of the Beijing Jiuzhou Calligraphy and Painting Research Society, a council member of the Dongcheng Artists Association, a council member of the Husheng Calligraphy and Painting Research Society, Deputy Director of the China Louguantai Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, Cultural Envoy between China and Malaysia, a council member of the China Artists Federation, a council member of the China Guoyi People's Painting Academy, a painter at the National Ethnic Painting Academy, Vice Chairman of the Art Capital Council of China Enterprise News Reports, and Assistant Secretary-General of the Enterprise Artists Working Committee of the China Enterprise Culture Promotion Association (edited by Mo Xiao).
