Gu Zhongren, style name Zhongren, Songxian Ge Zhu, Buming Zhai Zhu, born in 1958, native of Beijing, member of the China Artists Association, Vice President of the Volunteer Arts and Calligraphy Division of the Chinese Volunteering Association, painter of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Art Center, art consultant of the Hainan Bai Shi Research Association, vice chairman of Hainan Art and Calligraphy Network, researcher at the Heilongjiang Provincial Academy of Painting, vice president of the Beijing Hanhai Art Gallery, academician of the Capital Entrepreneurs Art Research Institute, and member of the Beijing Shijingshan Artists Association. Graduated from the China Dongfang Painting and Calligraphy Correspondence University, he was personally taught by Wu Qi, a direct disciple of Liu Jidi, specializing in figure painting, flower-and-bird painting, and animal painting. He is now a full-time artist.
