Wu Jiang, male, born in 1939, a member of the Communist Party of China, native of Yunnan. Graduated from the Department of Physics at Yunnan University in 1966. After graduation, he was assigned to the China Academy of Rocket Technology under the Ministry of Aerospace Industry to engage in scientific research. In 1984, he transferred to the direct organ of the Ministry of Aerospace Industry to serve as an editor-in-chief for technical journals. He successively held positions such as Director of the Editorial Department and Reporter, Chief Editor, and President. Retired in 2002, he was rehired until 2008. Currently, he serves as Honorary President of Hanmo Qianqiu Art and Calligraphy Institute, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Arts and Calligraphy, Vice President of the Art and Calligraphy Division of CCTV, Member of the China Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Association, and Member of the Yunnan Province Calligraphers Association.
During his forty years of work in China's aerospace industry, he once filled three technological gaps for the country and received multiple science and technology achievement awards from the Commission of Science and Technology for National Defense and the Ministry of Aerospace Industry. He was awarded a third-class merit for contributing to the development of China's aerospace industry. The high-tech journal "Quality and Reliability," edited by him, was selected as one of the national premium journals. Cheng Lianchang, former Vice Minister of Aerospace Industry, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Academician of the World Academy of Productivity, and Former Executive Deputy Minister of Labor and Personnel, evaluated this journal as "the highest authority, highest level, most influential, most weighty, and most closely followed high-level and high-quality aerospace publication in defense science and technology." "Quality and Reliability" systematically promoted the reliability theory and methods of Qian Xuesen, known as the "father of China’s aerospace," which contributed to the rapid development of China’s aerospace and national defense industries.
