Aixinjueluo Taoqiang, male, born in February 1953 in Dongcheng District, Beijing, holds a college diploma. He is a descendant of Prince Hongzhou, the fifth son of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, and the nephew of the renowned calligraphy master Qi Gong. His father, Aixinjueluo Qiyuan, is a celebrated calligrapher both at home and abroad, while his mother, Ms. Zhan Qingzhi, is the granddaughter of the famous historical figure Zhan Tianyou. The chairman of the China Artists Association and member of the China Calligraphers Association, Aixinjueluo Taojian, is his elder brother. Currently, he serves as vice-chairman of the China Artists Association, council member of the Beijing Xuanhe Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, deputy curator of the Hanlin Academy, member of the Langfang Calligraphers Association, researcher at the Guilin Yanhuang Art Research Institute, committee member of the Guilin·São Paulo Sino-Brazilian International Painting and Calligraphy Exchange Competition, senior researcher at the China General and Ministerial Painting and Calligraphy Academy, and has been included in authoritative databases on notable figures.         Mr. Aixinjueluo Taoqiang was immersed from childhood in a family environment rich in scholarly traditions, developing a deep passion for calligraphy. He has participated in numerous domestic and international exhibitions and competitions, winning multiple awards:
1. Gold Medal at the 10th International Art Appreciation Exhibition;
2. First Prize and Gold Medal at the 4th (2005), 5th (2006), and 6th (2011) Guilin·São Paulo Sino-Brazilian International Painting and Calligraphy Exchange Competition, with works included in an anthology;
3. Gold Medal at the 2007 World Chinese Calligraphy and Art Exhibition;
4. Gold Medal at the 8th Guilin·Taiwan Strait Calligraphy and Painting Masters Invitation Exhibition;
5. First Prize in the Calligraphy Category at the National Selection Activity for Talent in Artistic Performances (2007);
6. Silver Medal at the 2nd "Yanhuang Cup" National Senior Citizens' Painting, Calligraphy, Poetry, and Photography Competition.
      In addition, his works have been published in the third issue of Sim Wei Zhai (2005) and Red Classic Calligraphy and Painting (issues 26 and 29, 2010). Some pieces are collected by Hu Xuennong Calligraphy Collection Hall and Xuanhe Art Museum. In November 2013, his work won the Silver Medal at the Commemorative Public Art Exhibition for the 100th Anniversary of Comrade Xi Zhongxun’s Birth, and in December 2013, it received the Third Prize at the Commemorative Exhibition for the 120th Anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong’s Birth.
      Mr. Taoqiang participated in painting and calligraphy exhibitions organized by Beijing entrepreneurs, and held exhibitions in Qingdao, Shandong. Under the guidance of his father, Qiyuan, and through persistent effort, Mr. Taoqiang’s calligraphic skills have grown increasingly profound.
Mr. Taoqiang once said that on his journey in calligraphy, he always takes the royal-style Song Jintǐ (瘦金体) as his model, diligently studying the structure and aesthetic charm of predecessors’ scripts, learning their broad-mindedness and elegance, pursuing solemnity and ethereal freedom, skillfully balancing thickness and thinness in strokes, wielding brushes firmly yet calmly, with strong and robust bones—his works are widely appreciated and collected by calligraphy enthusiasts and professionals both domestically and internationally.
