Zhou Shijun Mr., styled Runde, pseudonym Zhou Encheng, is a native of Beijing.
Currently, he serves as a doctoral supervisor and professor at China University of National Studies, vice chairman of the World Federation of Chinese Cultural Exchange, standing committee member of the National Famous Artists and Calligraphers Association, honorary president of the Chinese Cultural Heritage Protection Research Institute and the Ethnic Painting and Calligraphy Academy, researcher at the Chinese Bagua Studies Association, vice chairman of the Chinese Fengshui Association, chairman of the World Federation of Chinese Associations, director of Beijing Mingjia Shihua Academy, core member of the China Democratic Promotion Association's national cultural and artistic circles, and "Outstanding Chinese" in 2011.
Mr. Zhou Shijun has been engaged in journalism since May 1988 for 21 years, conducting interviews both domestically and internationally. While writing interview articles, he often composed poetry inspired by the scenes around him. Over the years, he has created more than 1,200 poems, essays, and reportages, published and awarded in numerous newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and websites across China. In November 2010, his collection titled *Songtao Ji* (Collection of Pine Wind), with a book title written by renowned poet Zang Kejia, was officially published. Former Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress, Cheng Siyuan, once inscribed his selected poetry anthology, *The Essence of Poetic Thought*, in elegant script. The famous lyricist Qiao Yu and veteran poet Niu Han also wrote congratulatory messages for him.
Mr. Zhou has organized multiple nationwide large-scale social activities, demonstrating strong abilities in planning, organizing, coordinating, communication, and management. In 2005, he participated in the "2005 China Field and Brand" Economic Forum held in Hong Kong. At the Chinese Brand Award Ceremony, as a special guest, he presented awards to Hong Kong brand enterprises and delivered an outstanding speech, receiving unanimous praise from elites across various sectors.
Professor Zhou is deeply passionate about traditional Chinese national studies. Since 1990, he has systematically studied classics such as the Book of Changes (I Ching), Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism. He has continuously authored over one million words of academic papers, some of which were first published on his blog “Lantian Zhou Runde.” He expresses his intention to promote and spread Chinese traditional culture worldwide. His works in bronze script, Han dynasty seal script, and oracle bone script are widely loved and collected by party, government, military officials, various ministries, society, and international friends, making significant contributions to reviving the Chinese nation!
On May 29, 2011, the inaugural "Outstanding Chinese" award ceremony was successfully held at the Press Conference Hall of the State Council Information Office in Beijing. Mr. Zhou Shijun received the 2011 "Outstanding Chinese Award," a recognition that truly reflects his personal achievements and contributions to society.
In 2012, after evaluation by the expert committee of China University of National Studies, he was awarded the professional title of "Chinese National Studies, Confucianism, and Academic Expert" and named the "Master of Chinese National Studies" for the year 2011.
In 2015, through assessment by the Review Committee and Calligraphy and Painting Committee experts of the Chinese Cultural Heritage Protection Research Institute under the China Cultural Heritage Protection Center, Ministry of Culture, his calligraphy work was rated at RMB 18,000 per square foot.
Also in 2015, he was certified as a qualified "Chinese Calligrapher and Painter" by the same committee.
In 2021, the China Post issued a commemorative postcard featuring Mr. Zhou’s artwork “Five Blessings Arrive,” printed on the card and distributed nationwide, receiving widespread admiration and collection by many people.
