 Wang Duo, styled Mengxiu, is from Beijing, and his other names include Yanyu Caotang and Qiyuan; he graduated from Beijing Technology and Business University.
Currently, he is a calligrapher;
a cultural scholar;
Chief Editor of Chinese Calligraphy Road Network;
Artistic Director of Qiyuan Cultural Arts;
Member of the Committee for National Learning Inheritance of the China Oriental Culture Research Association;
Research Fellow at the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Education Research Institute;
Wang Duo’s calligraphy draws roots from the “Two Wangs” (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), while also integrating Northern stele brush techniques. His style is ancient and solemn, elegant and refined, combining both grace and strength. His clerical script takes inspiration from the Zhang Qian Stele and the Ritual Vessel Stele, with a profound, robust, and majestic style, featuring precise and vigorous strokes. His works follow tradition without being bound by it, embracing diverse influences.His calligraphy has been featured in major publications worldwide and exhibited in numerous series. In 2016, his works were published in Japan's authoritative calligraphy magazine "Japanese Calligraphy" and Singapore's cultural magazine "Chinese Culture."
		His works and biographical information have been included in "Selection of Works by Contemporary Chinese Artists," "World Chinese Artists Directory," and "Selected Ink Works of Chinese Calligraphers and Couplets." He has published "Selected Works of Wang Duo’s Calligraphy" and "Inheriting Classics • Selected Ink Works of Wang Duo."
