Mo Lüming, born in October 1975, is a military calligrapher. He began practicing calligraphy from childhood, displaying unique talent and perseverance, maintaining consistent practice for forty years. At the age of seventeen, he joined the army, creating numerous outstanding calligraphy works during his service, which were widely reported by central-level media. He is the only contemporary calligrapher capable of mastering all eight major styles. His regular script (Ou-style) is both visually and spiritually profound, fully expressing the essence of Ou-style strokes. His running script follows the methods of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, with refined brushwork, stable and elegant strokes, and exquisite beauty beyond words. His cursive script flows like dragons and snakes, with sudden movements resembling startled snakes entering grass—fluid, natural, and remarkably sublime.
 
Mo Lüming's works are collected by many calligraphy enthusiasts: In 2019, his piece "The Inscription of a Humble Abode" was purchased by a peer for one million yuan. His disciples are spread across the globe, with 396 direct students and 2,568 followers who have formally studied under him. Several of his students have joined the Chinese Calligraphers Association, earning titles as National First-Class Calligraphers and National First-Class Artists. Some students have even become internet celebrities, with over one million fans.Mo Lüming remains humble and never seeks fame or publicity—he dedicates himself solely to preserving classical Chinese culture. He draws inspiration from ancient masters while combining study and creation, deeply understanding the sages through contemplation and adhering to their teachings in innovation, ensuring his works retain the essence of tradition without being confined by it.Mo Lüming says, “Chinese calligraphy is vast and profound; only by studying classics can we inherit them.
