Li Shugang, poet, lyricist, writer, and calligrapher.
Member of the Chinese Poetry Society, member of the Liaoning Provincial Writers Association, council member of the Beijing Youth Poetry Creation Association, member of the Beijing Tongzhou District Writers Association, member of the Beijing Tongzhou District Calligraphers Association, vice president of the Zhongyiming Beijing Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, member of the China Couplets Society, visiting professor and chief editor of the Confucius Art Calligraphy Museum.
Personal Honors:
Original author of the long scroll "One Hundred Poems, One Hundred Meters of Calligraphy" [Poetry Expresses Aspiration] (poetry), awarded the "Silver Award" at the China International Painting and Calligraphy Art Exhibition.
In 2020, calligraphy works were selected for publication in the national collection "一丝不苟笔墨章" (Precise Brushwork and Ink) by Lingnan Fine Arts Publishing House. Awarded the "Special Prize" in the tribute campaign commemorating the renowned calligrapher and educator Mr. Ouyang Zhongshi.
In 2021, invited to attend the 2nd World Digital Trade Conference; couplet (seal script) works were collected by multiple embassies in China. Awarded the "Outstanding Music Award" at the 2021 Pacific Film Festival. Lyricist of the original song "China Red," featured on the 2022 CCTV "Chinese Ethnic Spring Festival Gala." Awarded the "First Prize" for lyrics of "China Red" by Beijing Television at the Beijing Final of the National Program Selection Contest. Awarded the "Best Lyricist Award" by Renren Literature Award.
In February 2022, invited to visit the Sri Lanka Embassy to participate in cultural exchange activities; the bilingual Chinese-English poetry collection "Hua Zhe Liu Yin — Selected Short Poems by Li Shugang" was collected by the embassy in China.
In July 2022, participated in the first China (Binzhou) Advanced Research Class on Jianbo Calligraphy. Contributed to the compilation and publication of a work collection featuring Jianbo calligraphy of "The Art of War." Poems included in "The Chinese Poets' Birthday Anthology" and the commemorative anthology for the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China — "China's Century Poetry Ranking." In September of the same year, attended the Advanced Research and Creation Class on Chinese Bamboo and Silk Manuscripts.
The bilingual Chinese-English poetry collection "Hua Zhe Liu Yin — Selected Short Poems by Li Shugang" is held in the collections of the National Library of China, Capital Library, China Modern Literature Museum, Wuhan University Library, Northeastern University Library, and other institutions of higher education.
