YAO Changmao

Yao Changmao, male, born in 1971, pen name: Yan'an, native of Fengyang, Anhui, national first-class artist, senior calligraphy teacher, senior calligraphy trainer, renowned painter and calligrapher, member of China Hard Pen Calligraphers Association, senior artist of Chinese Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Network, vice chairman of Artist Committee, appointed painter and calligrapher of Shanghai Rixin Pavilion Academy, member of Chuzhou City Calligraphers Association in Anhui Province, council member of Fengyang County Calligraphers Association, senior calligraphy and fine arts artist at the Art Talent Development Center of the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China. He has loved painting and calligraphy since childhood, specializing in running script, cursive script, official script, seal script, and traditional Chinese landscape painting. His works have been selected for numerous national, provincial, and municipal exhibitions. In 2016, he won the first prize in the National Ten Thousand People Calligraphy Competition. He was assessed and included by the Art Talent Development Center of the Ministry of Culture into the National Database of Five Hundred Fine Arts and Calligraphy Talents. In 2017, he won the first prize in the "Xizhi Cup" National Invitational Calligraphy and Painting Competition, the first prize in the Third "Heping Song, Zhonghua Qing" National Invitational Exhibition of Famous Painters and Calligraphers, and his works were collected by the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall in Beijing. He also won the first prize in the Fifth "Weiren Song · Chinese Dream" Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Competition, the gold award in the Fourth China International Calligraphy Competition, participated in the Ninth "Guanyinshan Cup" Competition, received an excellence award in the First China Poetry-Wine Culture Conference, and was honored as a Cultural Pioneer Figure of the New Era in the "Prosperous China · 2017" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
