 Chen Mingwen, style name Xiushi, also known as Wannan Muren, was born in 1968, from Taixiang, Anhui. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Hefei Institute of Technology, and later studied at the China Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, the 22nd Advanced Flower-and-Bird Painting Research Class of the Chinese Artists Association, and the Flower-and-Bird Painting Research Class of the Chinese National Painting Academy. He was a student of teachers Zhang Jinrong, Wang Jiahhe, and Xu Zhan. He is currently a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a director of the Tibet Artists Association, president of the Lhasa Chess Academy Art Research Association, vice president of the Chinese Culture Research Institute (Chinese Celebrity Hall), art consultant of the China International Artists Association, academician of the Chinese National Painting Research Institute, director of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, and a signed painter of Chinese Famous People's Calligraphy and Painting. He is a national-level fine artist.

        His work "Fragrant Grapes" won the Excellent Award in the First International "Shennong Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Art Competition, and "Autumn Fruits" won the Silver Award in the First International Domestic and International "Simsan Cup" Calligraphy, Painting and Seal Art Competition. In 1996, his work "Good Fortune and Blessings" won the second prize in the calligraphy and painting art competition held by the Dandong Municipal Government and was exhibited in Wilming City, USA. In 1998, he was included in "The Collection of Modern Chinese Artistic Talents", and in 2001, he was included in "The Collection of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters". His works have participated in the Third Beijing International Art Biennale, the National Gallery Excellent Works Exhibition, and have won the Excellent Award in the fifth and sixth Chinese Artists Association Calligraphy and Painting Exhibitions, and the Excellent Award in the Chinese Artists Association Celebration of the Return of Macao National Art Exhibition. In 2008, his work "Good Fortune at the Top, Full of Blessings" was permanently collected by the Central Office and he was awarded the title of "The Most Capable Young Chinese Painter".
    In August 2014, he won an award in the large-scale calligraphy and painting exhibition "Great Beauty of China, The Call for Humanity" organized by the Ministry of Culture, the China Disabled Persons' Federation, and the Chinese Artists Association, and his works were exhibited nationwide. He has successfully held individual painting exhibitions in Guangzhou Humen, Hangzhou West Lake, and Taixiang Xiaokou Art Academy. His works have been published in magazines such as "Art", "China Calligraphy and Painting", "Jianbao", and "World Knowledge Pictorial", and were praised by Hong Kong's "Wen Wei Po" as the "Grape King Painter", with their grapes being transparent, natural, full and delicious, and are beloved by the general public. His works are collected by domestic and international collectors and important national institutions. In December 2014, his work "Five Blessings at the Door, All Things Prosperous" was permanently collected by the China International Artists Association. In December 2014, he was included in the "Contemporary Calligraphers and Painters' Common Seals, Classic Works Illustration Collection". In December 2014, "The Top Hundred Calligraphers and Painters Recommended to Enterprises" was reported on authoritative online media such as China Finance Network, China Economy Network, China Enterprise News, China Famous Enterprises News Network, and China Finance Network.
       In January 2015, he was included in "China Art Investment Reference"; in February 2015, he was published in the first issue of "People's Art Magazine". In November 2015, he was included by the China Post Company and was issued nationwide.
       In February 2016, he won the Silver Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Art Competition "Morality and Artistry Both Excellent" and attended the award ceremony in Beijing.
