Personal Profile

Shi Guofu, born in 1968, male, Han Chinese, from Funan County, Anhui Province. He has loved calligraphy since childhood. At the age of eight, he learned to write characters for his teacher and sold spring couplets. Because of poor family conditions, he often practiced writing on a cemented area in his own courtyard. Due to the need for livelihood, he worked outside for twenty years, but never gave up practicing calligraphy in his spare time. In the past ten years, after returning to his hometown, he has been practicing hard at any time and place, and sought advice from many teachers. He once participated in a city calligraphy competition and was invited by the China Calligraphers and Painters Association to join the association. He has now been selected as the first "People's Artist" and won the third prize. I love calligraphy and make friends all over the world.
