Zhang Zhongsheng (peasant artist), grew up in Mengkengyuan, Huizhou. While herding cows by the field ridges and cutting firewood, he was deeply influenced by the wall murals of Huizhou, and has been interested in calligraphy and Chinese painting since childhood. The wall murals of Huizhou are commonly called "wall murals" by local people, mainly painted under the eaves of ancient Huizhou dwellings, on door towers and window eaves, and like stone carvings, brick carvings, and wood carvings, they have various forms, representing a grand integration of folk art. The works are collected in "Moving Toward Glory - 19th Beijing Calligraphy and Seal Carving Excellence Exhibition Works Collection", "Water Rhythm and Flower Sea Works Collection" and so on.
