Shao Zhongzhi, male, born in March 1964 in Anhui Hefei. Currently works at Taolou Town Cultural Station. Since childhood, he has been passionate about painting and calligraphy art. Influenced by his uncle Shao Xin, he became a disciple of the famous calligrapher Zhang Ying, and has practiced copying the steles of Yan Zhenqing, Ouyang Xun, Wang Xizhi, etc., for more than thirty years, known as a "grassroots artist". His works have participated in many national and provincial calligraphy exhibitions, and have won awards multiple times. In September 2017, he exhibited at the Hong Kong West River Bay Art Gallery. His works have been collected by friends from all walks of society. In November 2017, he won the third prize in the first Anhui Province Calligraphy and Painting TV Competition. He is currently an outstanding influential figure in contemporary art, academician of the East China Branch of the China National Academy of Painting, academician of the Anhui Branch of the China Painting and Calligraphy Academy, academician of the Junbin Painting and Calligraphy Academy, academician of the Chinese Shaosheng Painting and Calligraphy Academy, member of the Anhui Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, and a senior calligrapher.
