      Ye Xianming was born in a small village at the foot of Daitian Mountain in Naling County, Anhui (original hometown is Wuchuan, Anhui), and the rural life of his hometown left him with childhood memories.

Ye Xianming has loved regulated verse poetry, couplets and calligraphy and painting since his youth, learning from ancient methods and continuously exploring. He admires the techniques of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi of the Jin Dynasty, and for decades he has been diligent in studying their brushwork and bold in exploring the standard rules of cursive script. He has studied the calligraphy of "Wang Er" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), Huaisu, Sun Guoting, Wang Duo, Huang Ziyuan, Yu Youren, Lin Sanzhi and others. In modern times, he particularly likes the calligraphy works and theories of Lin Sanzhi, Qi Gong, and Tian Yunzhang, and focuses on running and cursive scripts. His calligraphy works combine internal and external styles.

       Mr. Ye Xianming joined the army in December 1974, became a Party member in 1977, was appointed as a primary school teacher in 1978, engaged in construction project management and supervision engineer (provincial) after 1986, and retired in 2015. He has farmed, engaged in forest fruit production, commercial retail, antique and art exchange, learned traditional Chinese medicine, ... A diverse life experience laid the foundation for his poetry, calligraphy, and painting.

② Ancestor Totem---In June 2014, Professor Zhang Shiyan affirmed the achievements and ideas of Huangshan and Huangdi culture research in Huangshan District, proposed the view that "Huangshan should be the ancestor totem mountain in southern Yangtze River region," and hoped that Huangshan would be further researched and explored in the direction of "ancestor totem mountain," making it a cultural brand for future Huangshan's external promotion.

Mr. Ye Xianming's calligraphy works have a free and easy meaning, a relaxed flavor, distinct personality, smooth and natural lines, appropriate ink color, proper layout, elegant style, obvious characteristics, dry and wet mixed, dry and moist change, taking moisture to create beauty, taking dryness to seek danger, seeking perfection in danger. The content is vividly on paper, the flow of energy spreads between lines and strokes, the brushwork and layout are naturally integrated.

He currently has more than a thousand poems, practices calligraphy and painting every day, and the goal is: within his lifetime, to have a few favorite calligraphy and painting works, and he will be satisfied.
Mr. Ye Xianming said: Although I have been working hard for many years, I have made some achievements. My brushwork and layout are still far from the ancient methods, there is no end, only a new starting point, and I will continue to study and look forward to your criticism and correction.
