 Zhang Zhengben, style name Yixian, art junior college and bachelor's degree. A famous Chinese calligraphy and painting artist from Taifang, Anhui, which is a well-known hometown of Chinese arts. He is currently a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, a researcher of the China Senior Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, vice president of the China Calligraphers and Painters Committee, a senior calligrapher of the China Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and a member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Exchange Association; member of the Anhui Calligraphers Association, advisor of the Fuyang Calligraphers Association, vice president and secretary-general of the Taifang Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute.
       He has loved calligraphy since childhood, practicing writing one hundred characters every day for decades without interruption, extensively studying the steles and rubbings of great masters such as Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, as well as Ouyang Xun, Liu Gongquan, Yan Zhenqing, and Zhao Mengfu, with a particular passion for cursive and running scripts. His works are vigorous and grand, with free and unrestrained brushwork, fresh and elegant ink rhythms, and an elegant charm in every character. The composition and structure of his works are visually pleasing and refined. It is considered a fortunate thing for local calligraphy and painting enthusiasts and collectors to own a piece of Zhang's calligraphy.
       Zhang's works have been prominently exhibited at the China Art Museum in 2006; won the first prize in the Chengde National Calligraphy Competition; the first prize in the Hong Kong International Calligraphy Competition; the silver prize in the Japan International Competition in 2011; the first prize in the Shanghai National Big Character Calligraphy International Competition; the first prize in the "Chinese Dream, Praise of Integrity" National Calligraphy, Painting, Photography, and Poetry Competition in 2015; and was evaluated by the national authoritative calligraphy and painting expert review institution as 3,000 yuan per square foot.
