Chai Jianjun, male, born in 1958. Anhui Province, Bozhou City, Qiaocheng District. Retired in 2016.
I started to copy stone steles and calligraphy works since 1981. I have successively copied the "Xuanmi Tower" and "Shen Ce Jun" of Liu Gongquan, the "Jiucheng Palace" and "Huangfu Dan", "Yu Gonggong Stele" of Ouyang Xun, the Northern Wei "Zheng Wenzhong Stele", "Yuan Hui's Tomb Inscription", "Yuan Huai's Tomb Inscription", "Zhang Menglong Stele", "Zhang Heinü Inscription", and Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Xu", Mi Fu's "Shu Su Tie", "Tiaoxi Poetry", "Wei Tai Poetry", and the Han dynasty "Zhangqian Stele" and other steles and calligraphy works.
In 1983, I won the first prize in the Bozhou Tobacco System (three counties and two factories) calligraphy exhibition. In 1988, I won an excellent award in the national "Jiucheng Palace Cup" large-scale exhibition. In 1991, I won the third prize in the provincial tobacco system calligraphy exhibition. In 1994, my calligraphy works were selected for the provincial new talents and new works exhibition and I was admitted as a member of the Anhui Calligraphers Association. In 1997, my calligraphy works were selected for the "World Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" hosted by the China Calligraphers Association. In 1998, my calligraphy works were selected for the "Wudaozi Cup" calligraphy and painting exhibition. In 2008, I inscribed the title of the "Bozhou Tobacco News". In February 2010, I held the "Yihai Diao Fang Five Friends Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" at the Guangxing Art Gallery in Bozhou. In August 2010, my calligraphy works were included in the calligraphy and painting collection "Ink and Brush Forge Feelings for the West". In 2011, my calligraphy works were compiled into the "Calligraphy and Painting Works Collection" celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Bozhou Tobacco Company. In August 2012, my calligraphy works won the gold prize in the "Rise of Shaoshan China Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition". In September 2012, my calligraphy works received the nomination award in the Third National Couplets Calligraphy and Seal Carving Competition. In November 2012, my calligraphy works were rated as one of the top 100寿 culture calligraphy works in the "National Calligraphy and Painting Works Exhibition on Longevity Culture". In November 2012, my calligraphy works won the gold prize in the Second "Yanhuan Cup" International Poetry, Calligraphy, Painting and Seal Art Competition. In November 2012, my calligraphy works won the excellent award in the "Cangshan Rushai" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition. In the first session of the "Liuyi Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition in November 2012, Beijing large invitation competition won the gold prize. In 2014, my calligraphy works were collected by the Anhui Provincial Legal Workers Calligraphy and Painting Association. In 2017, my calligraphy works were collected by the Anhui Branch of China Tobacco Corporation, three pieces. In 2019, twelve of my calligraphy works were compiled by the Sichuan Western Research and Development Promotion Association, edited the "Science and Education for the Nation" series.
In 2019, I was specially invited by the China Western Research and Development Promotion Association as the senior associate editor of the "Science and Education for the Nation" series. In 2017, I participated in the establishment of the "Huifeng Shushe" in Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province. In 2020, I was elected as the vice president of the "Huifeng Shushe".
