Zhuang Wei, style name Mosheng, male, Han nationality, born in 1975, from Xuzhou, Jiangsu, currently a member of the Anhui Calligraphers Association. He has lived in Xiaoxian, Anhui, known as the hometown of Chinese painting and calligraphy since childhood, and is passionately fond of calligraphy. He once studied under the famous calligraphers Feng Yuchun and Yan Zizhao from Xiaoxian. His calligraphy initially started with Tang dynasty regular script, then studied Han dynasty steles, and later focused on cursive and running scripts. In 1993, he attended the first intermediate class at the China Calligraphy Training Center to improve his calligraphy skills. Under the guidance of teachers such as Sha Manweng, Su Shishu, Zhou Zhigao, Zhang Xuguang, and Liu Hongbiao, his calligraphy improved greatly. For many years, he has taken ancient steles as his teacher, learning from the ancients without being bound by them, striving for the internal unity of his own cultivation and brushwork. His works are bold, unconventional, free-spirited, and sincere, with a varied and rich style full of innovation.
