 Huang Yingyuan, born in 1955, is from Nanjiang, Sichuan. He is a member of the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a member of the China Advanced Calligraphers and Painters Association, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the New Artistic Groups Calligraphers and Painters Committee under the China Calligraphers and Painters Friendship Association, a senior researcher in traditional cultural arts at the China Industry Development Research Center, honorary vice chairman of the Expert Committee of the China Industry Development Research Center, a national gift artist at the Zhongnanhai National Gift Center, a national first-class calligrapher, and one of the first group of awardees of the Model Medal for Outstanding Talents in Traditional Cultural Arts.
       Huang Yingyuan's seal script works were successively selected for the 2009 China Cultural and Art Exchange Exhibition held in Europe, where he received the title of "Special Envoy of Sino-European Cultural Exchange" and a gold award; he won the "Peace Prize" at the 2009 "Goddess of Peace Cup" First International Painting and Calligraphy Competition and the Honorary Gold Award at the First International Art and Calligraphy Grand Prix. His works were selected as national gift procurement items for the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China, and as a tribute to Austria’s National Day celebration in 2011. In 2016, his works were successively collected by the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, the Great Hall of the People, the Zhongnanhai National Gift Center, and the Korea-China-Japan Exchange Association, and were engraved on the new section of the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing. He was appointed as a "National Gift Artist" by the Zhongnanhai National Gift Center, elected by China Education Television as one of the "Top Ten Artists with Greatest Social Responsibility," recommended by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Great Wall Organizing Committee as one of the "Top Ten Masters of Chinese Calligraphy Art," featured in the special publication "Ten Great Masters of Chinese Calligraphy," and awarded the "China Great Wall Artist Cultural Gold Award."
       In 2017, his works were selected for the exhibition of outstanding artworks by invited masters paying tribute to the annual sessions of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, displayed at the National People's Congress Meeting Center; selected for the "Invitational Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Art Masters" at the Beijing Poly International Convention and Exhibition Center, exhibited at the Poly International Convention and Exhibition Center; included in the large-scale national painting and calligraphy exchange exhibition titled "The Belt and Road, Glorious China," exhibited at the China National Academy of Painting (National Exhibition Art Center); selected as a national gift artist in the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles' "The Belt and Road, Timeless Chinese Porcelain (Chinese National Gift)" international cultural exchange program; included in the global premiere of "Chinese Artists on U.S. Commemorative Stamps Marking the 38th Anniversary of China-U.S. Diplomatic Relations" (America's National Calling Card); and selected for the limited edition commemorative postage stamps issued nationwide by China Post titled "Celebrating the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China – National Postage Stamps of China" (China's National Calling Card).
       He was specially invited to participate in CCTV's "Prosperous China" 2017 Gala and New Year's Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition for Renowned Figures, winning a gold award for his work. He was specially invited to attend the 2017 and 2018 National Patriotic Public Welfare Figures Awards Ceremony and conferred the honor of "National Patriotic Public Welfare Figure." He was specially invited to speak at the 2018 Boao Forum for the Annual Summary and Awards Ceremony of Traditional Chinese Culture and was rated as one of the "Top Ten Influential Figures in Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy." In 2019, his works were collected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, selected for exhibitions paying tribute to the annual sessions of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held at the CPPCC Auditorium, included in the special art issue "People's Artists: Reporting to the People" commemorating the 2019 Two Sessions; selected as an "Invited Art Representative" contributing artwork for the national Two Sessions in the "I Speak for the Two Sessions" campaign by the People's Representative News; and included in the teaching anthology "Teaching Models from Top Fine Arts Academies in China," edited by the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
