Personal Profile

Bai Hualing, courtesy name Miaoyou, was born in Chengdu in 1972. He is currently a member of the Sichuan Artists Association, Chengdu Artists Association, Chengdu Gongbi Painting Society, Chengdu Contemporary Gongbi Painting Research Society, and Chengdu Ershu Shanfang Calligraphy and Painting Research Society. In 1992, his work "Spring Wind Again Green" won the "Outstanding Award" in the "Chengdu Art Exhibition Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Mao Zedong's 'Talks at the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art'". In 1999, his work "Harmony" was selected for the "Chengdu Art Exhibition Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China". In 2012, he participated in the "Kunming Colorful Clouds: Sichuan Gongbi Painting Masters Masterpieces Exhibition" and the "Flowers and Birds Welcoming Spring—Six Sichuan Artists Gongbi Painting Exhibition". His work "Peony with Two Birds" was selected for the "6th Sichuan New Artists, New Works Exhibition". In 2013, he participated in the "Sichuan Xishu Flower-and-Bird Painting Academy Exhibition", and his work "Azalea and White Magpie" was selected for the "6th National Exhibition of Contemporary Famous Flower-and-Bird Painters". In 2014, he participated in the "Keelung Ink Art Society and Sichuan Xu Beihong-Zhang Daqian Art Research Institute Cross-Strait Calligraphy and Painting Exchange Exhibition"; his work "A Cluster of Crimson Beauty Drunk on茜草" was selected for the "Ronghua Blossoming—Contemporary Gongbi Painting Grand Exhibition and Invitation Exhibition of Chinese Painting Masters"; he also participated in the "Dream Realization: China, Building Splendor—Cross-Strait Three Regions Calligraphy and Painting Tour Exhibition"; his work "Green Leaves Brought by the Wind Reveal Red Pearls" was selected for the inaugural "My Eyes on Ecological Sichuan Chinese Painting Competition"; he also participated in the "30th Anniversary Exhibition of the Sichuan Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Academy". In 2015, he participated in the "Asia Art Alliance Outstanding Works Exhibition" (held in Seoul, South Korea) and the "Hibiscus Blooms, Displaying Splendor—China-Korea Art Exchange Exhibition". In 2016, his work "Wisteria Flowers Dripping Fragrance Fill the Air" was selected for the "5th Sichuan Youth Art Exhibition". In 2017, he participated in the "Shu Style and Wu Charm—From Jin Guan City to Su City: Sichuan-Suzhou Dual-City Flower-and-Bird Painting Masters Dual Exhibition". In 2018, his work "One Bud, Thousand Flowers Adorned in Splendor" won the "Outstanding Award" at the "10th National Exhibition of Contemporary Flower-and-Bird Painters". In 2019, he participated in the "Tianfu Chengdu, Cultural Tourism Chenghua: 'Celebrating the Motherland, 70th Anniversary' Ershu Shanfang Calligraphy and Painting Masterpieces Exhibition".
