Personal Profile
Zhang Qixiong, courtesy name Songshi, art name Zhuyuan Shanren, was born in 1961 in Da Zhu, Sichuan, and currently resides in Beijing. From 2014 to 2017, he studied at the Advanced Research Program in Calligraphy and Painting, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, studying calligraphy under Master Xiao Wenfei and traditional Chinese painting under Master Zhu Ling.
Artistic Achievements: In 2012, his calligraphy work "Tang Poetry · Autumn Evening in the Mountains" won the Excellence Award in the "Chinese Dragon" National Calligraphy Exhibition hosted by the China Calligraphers Association; In 2017, his calligraphy work "On Calligraphy" won the Third Prize in the exhibition "Worshiping the Water of Integrity and Exploring the Path of Clean Governance" hosted by the Sichuan Calligraphers Association; In the same year, his ink painting work "Scenic Beauty of Qingcheng" won the Excellence Award in the exhibition "Worshiping the Water of Integrity and Exploring the Path of Clean Governance" hosted by the Sichuan Artists Association; In 2018, his ink painting work "Harvest" was selected and exhibited in the national exhibition "Sheng'an Poetry and Painting" hosted by the China Artists Association.
