Personal Profile
          Wang Ning, a member of the Sichuan Artists Association, is currently an associate professor at the School of Art, Chengdu Textile College. From 1992 to 2005, he studied Chinese landscape painting under the renowned master Huang Chunyao. He graduated from Sichuan Normal University in 1995 and obtained his Master's degree in Fine Arts from the School of Arts, Sichuan University in 2008. In 2017, he was selected by his university as a senior visiting scholar at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. His works have been repeatedly invited to national academic seminars and exhibitions for art colleges. In 2019, his works were exhibited in the Outstanding Works Exhibition of the Sichuan Wen Hua Fine Arts Award.
Exhibitions:
1. In December 2013, held a solo exhibition titled "Non-Water, Wandering Mind – Wang Ning’s Chinese Landscape Painting Exhibition" at Chengdu Shimao Jia Art Gallery. The opening ceremony was attended by school leaders and top officials from the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Sichuan Artists Association. Chengdu TV Station's program "Cultural Chengdu" covered it with a special report.
2. In 2013, participated in the "Lotus Blossom Blooms" Sichuan Gongbi Painting Grand Exhibition and Invitational Exhibition of Masters' Masterpieces, organized by the Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
3. In 2013, participated in the "Famous Cities Painted by Masters – 2013 Chengdu Contemporary Gongbi Painting Research Association Exhibition," organized by the Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
 
4. In December 2014, participated in the 7th Sichuan New Generation Artists’ New Works Exhibition, organized by the Sichuan Artists Association.
5. In January 2015, participated in the "Great Mountains, Great Waters, Great Beauty – Sichuan Bashu Landscapes" Sichuan Landscape Painting Grand Exhibition, organized by the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
6. In January 2015, participated in the teacher-student painting exhibition honoring the late master of landscape painting, Huang Chunyao, at Chengdu Shibi Jia Art Gallery.
7. In May 2015, participated in the入围 (shortlisted) works exhibition of the "Great Mountains, Great Waters, Great Beauty – Sichuan Art Creation Project," organized by the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
8. In August 2015, participated in the Sichuan Province and Chengdu Military Region joint exhibition of fine arts works commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan and the World Anti-Fascist War, organized by the Propaganda Department of the Sichuan Provincial Committee and the Propaganda Department of the Chengdu Military Region.
9. In February 2015, participated in the "One Mountain, One Water" Jiuzhaigou-Huangshan Calligraphy and Painting Art Exchange Exhibition, organized by the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
10. In December 2016, works were selected for the annual "Painting Charm of Chengdu" Fine Arts Exhibition and Invitational Exhibition of Masters’ Masterpieces—an annual grand exhibition hosted by the Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles, with participation from multiple universities and art institutions.
11. In December 2017, participated in the "Colorful Context" National Teaching Seminar on Heavy-Color and Green-Blue Landscape Painting in Higher Education Institutions and the Associated Creative Works Exhibition. The work was nominated by the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Organized by Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. (Note: This exhibition is a national-level academic exchange exhibition among key fine arts colleges. Participants were current students; no certificates were issued, but photographic proof exists.)
12. In September 2017, participated in the "Belt and Road – Beautiful Tianfu: China Gongbi Painting Grand Exhibition," jointly hosted by the Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Sichuan Poetry-Calligraphy-Painting Academy.
13. In December 2017, works were selected for the annual "Painting Charm of Chengdu" Fine Arts Exhibition and Invitational Exhibition of Masters’ Masterpieces—an annual grand exhibition hosted by the Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles, with participation from multiple universities and art institutions.
14. In July 2018, three works participated in the Visiting Scholars Graduation Exhibition at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, organized by Tsinghua University.
15. In March 2019, works were recommended by the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, to participate in the "Following Ancient Traditions, Transforming into the Present" – 2019 National Higher Art Education Institutions Landscape Painting Teaching Seminar and Faculty-Student Creative Works Exhibition. This exhibition is a national academic exchange event among key fine arts colleges, organized by Yunnan Arts University.
16. In September 2019, participated in the exhibition "Growing Together with Our Motherland" – Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC and the 9th Annual "Painting Charm of Chengdu" Fine Arts Exhibition, hosted by the Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
17. In September 2019, participated in the Second Sichuan Art Festival – Outstanding Works Exhibition of the Sichuan Wen Hua Fine Arts Award. Organizer (awarding body): Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. (The Sichuan Wen Hua Fine Arts Award is the highest honor in the field of fine arts in Sichuan Province, established with approval from the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and specifically organized by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.)
