Du Jin’s Views on Sand Art An excellent sand artist must not only understand fine arts, design, hand-drawing, literature, history, and multimedia technology, but also possess powerful creativity and the ability to generate instant inspiration. An outstanding sand art educator must additionally understand pedagogy and psychology—equally essential are teaching values, imparting knowledge, and resolving doubts. One must have the capacity to give a student a drop of water while possessing a full cup oneself. As a newly emerging niche art form, sand art faces a long journey toward healthy development and broader public recognition.
