Personal Profile

Liu Peng, born in 1972, is from Huludao, Liaoning. He is the General Manager of Rongbaozhai (Shenyang) Co., Ltd., and the General Manager of Rongbaozhai (Guiyang) Culture Co., Ltd. A member of the China Democratic Promotion Association, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Seal Carving Art Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Calligraphers Association. He completed the Advanced Research Class on Flower-and-Bird Painting at the China National Academy of Painting. His works have been selected for exhibition in: the 7th National Exhibition of Calligraphy and Seal Carving, the Contemporary Seal Carving Art Exhibition, the 3rd and 4th National Exhibition of New Talent in Calligraphy, the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th National Seal Carving Art Exhibitions, the First International Seal Carving Art Exchange Exhibition, the 6th National Exhibition of Middle-aged and Young Calligraphers, the Jiangsu-Liaoning Hundred Artists Seal Carving Masterpieces Exhibition, "Classic and Contemporary Seal Style — The 2nd National Youth Seal Carving Artists Exhibition," and "Jinghua Yaji — National Ceramic Seal Carving Exhibition," among others. His ink painting work won the Japan-China Ink Painting Excellence Award at the "Sakura International Ink Painting Open Exhibition Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Normalization of Sino-Japanese Diplomatic Relations." In 2008, he was nominated by the national-level art core journal "China Calligraphy and Painting" magazine as one of the "Top Ten Young Calligraphers of Liaoning Province," with a feature article published. His calligraphy, painting, and seal carving works have been published in journals such as "China Calligraphy and Painting," Calligraphy Daily, Calligraphy Guide, China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, Youth Calligraphy Newspaper, Fine Arts Daily, Qingdao Evening News, China Art Newspaper, Liaoning Daily, Liao Shen Evening News, and "Youth Calligraphy" magazine.
