Song Libin, who has loved painting since childhood, studied under renowned local artists and later furthered his studies at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. In 1979, his work was awarded excellence in the Municipal Workers' Art Exhibition and was selected for the 9th, 10th, and 11th Municipal Annual Art Exhibitions. In 1984, his work was selected for the Northeast Three Provinces Power System Workers' Art Exhibition.Member of the Benxi City Artists Association and Oil Painters Association; his works have been repeatedly exhibited in municipal and provincial art shows, with many pieces collected by private collectors.
Born in 1955 in Liaoning Province, Shenyang City, he developed a love for drawing from an early age and studied under several veteran artists in the field. He worked for the Union and Propaganda Department of Benxi Electric Power Bureau, engaging in art education and publicity, and later furthered his studies at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts.He has consistently practiced plein-air painting, traveling extensively among famous mountains and rivers to draw inspiration from nature.
In 1982, his oil painting "Coastline" was selected for the Municipal Art Exhibition.
In 1987, his gouache portrait "Inspection" was selected for the Northeast Power System Art Exhibition.
His ink painting "Landscape" was selected for the 9th Municipal Art Exhibition.
His ink painting "Secluded Valley with Singing Springs" was selected for the 10th Municipal Art Exhibition.
In 2013, his oil painting "Golden Autumn" was selected for the Municipal Oil Painting Annual Exhibition.
In 2015, his ink painting "Autumn Waterfall" was selected for the Municipal Ink Painting Annual Exhibition.
In 2016, his ink painting "Autumn Rain and Mist" and oil sketch "Still Life" were selected for the Municipal Spring Festival Art Exhibition.
