  Jiang Youzhen, courtesy name Yuan, style name Ruoshui (Dongfang Shanren),graduated from Wuhan University of Technology (Civil and Architectural Engineering major). Native of Hubei Huangshi, born in 1949, worked in 2004 at the Huangshi Municipal People's Government Liaison Office in Shanghai, currently residing in Shanghai. In childhood, he often heard the folk saying, "Calligraphy is the gateway, writings are the house," which deeply stirred his young heart. Since then, he has studied the masterpieces of Wang Xizhi, Yan Zhenqing, and other renowned calligraphers, while also exploring various styles, specializing particularly in running and cursive scripts, pursuing his art with diligent and solitary dedication. In recent years, he has participated in numerous calligraphy and painting gatherings and exhibitions across the country, gaining great favor among collectors and being acquired by collectors, museums, and private galleries. Additionally, on October 3, 2015, his work (a three-foot vertical scroll) was auctioned at a high price at the Soo Fu Bi Auction held in Singapore by Soo Fu Bi Auction Co., Ltd. Currently:        Director of the Calligraphy and Painting Committee, Huangshi City Elderly Association. Deputy Secretary and Director of Foreign Relations, Shanghai Popular Literature and Art Research Society.  (Shanghai) Ink & Wash Danqing Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Deputy Director. Deputy Director of the Cursive Script Committee, World Chinese Master Calligraphy and Painting Committee, First-Class Calligrapher.
