Personal Profile

Zhang Weiguo is from Yichang, Hubei Province. He is currently the Honorary Vice President of the Dongfang Hanlin Academy of Painting and Calligraphy in Beijing, a member of the Yichang City Artists Association in Hubei Province, a fine arts instructor at the Information College of China Three Gorges University, and a renowned Chinese landscape painter. Mr. Zhang Weiguo has loved doodling since childhood; in July 1964, as a child, his ink painting "The People Learning from Lei Feng" was recommended for publication in the Yichang Daily, from which time he nurtured a dream of art and began his career in painting.
