Personal Profile

Ma Xuejun, also known as Ma Quancen, was born in 1969 in Xiantao, Hubei Province. He studied successively at the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Li Xiaoke’s Studio at the Beijing Academy of Painting, under the tutelage of renowned artists Tang Yongli, Cui Xiaodong, Li Xiaoke, and others. He is currently a designated “Special Artist” on the Expert Committee of the Cultural and Museum Public Welfare Fund under the China Foundation for Social and Cultural Development, a National First-Class Artist, a recommended painter by China Education Television, an artist of Shuimo Dangan Art Institute, a painter of the Li Xiaoke Studio under the Li Keran Foundation, a “Special Art Editor” for People’s Education Press, a council member of the People’s Artists Association, a visiting professor of calligraphy and painting art at the School of Culture and Media, Beijing Modern Management University, and a member of the Hong Kong Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

Public Welfare Donation

On May 30, 2012, a public welfare donation ceremony for the renowned young painter Mr. Ma Xuejun was held at Zhongdu International Auction Co., Ltd., a standing committee member unit of the Beijing Enterprise Federation and the Beijing Entrepreneurs Association. The event was hosted by the China Foundation for Social and Cultural Development and the China Cultural and Museum Art Development Public Welfare Fund, and co-organized by the Bai Juyi Cultural Fund Management Committee of the China Foundation for Social and Cultural Development and Zhongdu International Auction Co., Ltd. Officials from relevant departments of the Beijing Enterprise Federation and the Beijing Entrepreneurs Association were invited to attend the meeting, where they discussed how enterprises could practice the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee, consciously promote the profound traditional Chinese culture and virtues, pay attention to and participate in public welfare causes, enhance corporate social responsibility and public welfare awareness, mobilize more social forces, carry forward the spirit of boundless love, and fulfill the pledge of helping the poor and relieving distress through concrete actions.
