Yu Yonghuan
Lu Yonghuan, born in 1939, is from Wuhan, Hubei Province, and is a National First-Class Artist. He is a researcher at the Calligraphy and Painting Academy of the Central Institute of Literature and History, a visiting professor at the Center for Chinese Traditional Culture Studies of Wuhan University, a painter at the Painting Studio of the Wuhan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Wuhan Municipal Institute of Literature and History, a member of the China Democratic Promotion Association, a specially invited artist of the Beijing Bayi Calligraphy and Painting Academy, a member and professor of the International Cultural Exchange Association of the Republic of Korea. He formerly served as Chairman of the Art Association of China Yangtze River Shipping Group, Director of the Yangtze River Academy of Painting, President of the Wuhan Society for Chinese Painting, and Standing Director of the Wuhan Artists Association. He has been engaged in the research and creation of Chinese painting for more than fifty years. His works have been exhibited multiple times in countries and regions such as the United States, Japan, Canada, Singapore, Germany, and Hong Kong. Some of his works have been collected, won awards in numerous large-scale art exhibitions within China, and have been published, featured, and specially introduced in various domestic and overseas newspapers, magazines, and art albums.
