        Hua Weidong, painter and calligrapher, First-Class Painter and Calligrapher, Member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Honorary President of Laozi Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, President of Yuanda Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, Henan Province Academy of Painting and Calligraphy Specialized Artist. He excels in both painting and calligraphy, integrating calligraphic techniques into painting, skilled in figures and landscapes, with particular expertise in orchids, bamboo, and running-cursive script.

He has meticulously copied numerous classical paintings and calligraphy works from ancient to modern times, profoundly influenced by Zheng Banqiao, the renowned Qing Dynasty master of bamboo painting, and deeply studied the works of Song and Yuan masters such as Xia Chang and Wen Tong. By combining tradition with modernity, he has developed his own distinctive style. His calligraphy, rooted in Tang dynasty regular script, thoroughly explores various styles and grasps their essence, especially excelling in large-character inscriptions and running-cursive script. His works have been repeatedly exhibited at national painting and calligraphy exhibitions, winning awards and being published in collections.
